Audi AG is a German society that makes luxuriousness automobiles under the Audi make; it has an entertaining story behind it. This comedy began in the year 1899 where we see the father of Audi, Mr. August Horch who was a German engineer and pioneer.

In all this dramatic events he decides to confer with his friends, by calling for a encounter at Franz Fikentscher's apartment so as to get a name for the new Company, sitting in that apartment they could, have thought their solution would arrive from Franz's son, who after a long period of secretiveness analyzing at a corner in the room, proposed that instead of Horch, which means “Hark!” or “Hear” in German , they should opt for Audi which means “audible” in Latin.

August Horch left Audi Company in 1920; Audi Company turned into the first German motorcar producer with the product of a motorcar with the left -hand drive. Which controlled the market because it gave a greater view of oncoming traffic easing passing and making it stabler.

The companys emblem consists of four lappings rings each making up one of the four marques of an Auto union which occurred in 1932 where Audi combined with Horch, DKW (Dampf -Kraft Wagen) and Wanderer. In 1964 Volkswagen acquired the factory in Ingolstadt and the trademark rights of Auto union. In the 1960's 2 stroke locomotives became less popular and so in September 1965 the last DKW model, the DKW F102 got a four stroke engine implanted, Volkswagen then dumped the DKW model because of its 2 stroke smell. Currently Audi is recognized as Audi AG which was shortened from Audi NSU Auto Union AG, because in 1985 NSU and Auto union brands died.

The company was the first Company to mass market and developed a galvanised motorcar to prevent corrosion, followed by Porsche.
